How was your life before coming to RiMa?

My life was uncontrollable. I had lost everything, my job, my partners trust, my family. I was at rock bottom, and I knew that my life was done. Mostly, I lost myself.

What changes did you experience in RiMa?

When coming to RiMa, I was not sure if it would work, but I had nothing else to lose but everything to gain if things go well. So, I went in willingly and ready to do the work. The long talks with my counsellor, the programme, the time I had to myself and to meditate on my life changed my whole life and perspective on a lot of things. My spiritual journey and the programme completely changed my life.

What is your Life after RiMa like?

I came into Rima with nothing but left with everything. I left with so much self-love, self-worth, self-awareness and a purpose. My family and I are closer than ever thanks to the family therapy, I can love in a better way and my partner, and I are doing so well because I understand myself and other people better (I was unaware how selfish my using was making me) I got my job back and it came with a promotion, I’m back in school, and I’m the happiest I have ever been.

Can you recommend someone to RiMa?

Personally, yes, I would, and I do recommend RiMa to anyone and everyone. I’m almost 5 months sober and I couldn’t do it without their help.

How was your life before coming to RiMa?

My life was in confusion. I was bitter and sad. I hated anyone who tried to highlight on my negative traits especially my alcoholism. I had low self-esteem since I had lost weight and looked so thin. I really was suffering!!!

What changes did you experience in RiMa?

RiMa gave me guidance, steps that I can use and still use to stay sober. I gained weight and have generally good health. I’m confident, loving, kind and also in RiMa I got in touch with my spirituality.

What is your Life after RiMa like?

Life after RiMa was challenging at first since this was where I HAD to put to practice all the teachings and skills, I had learnt but weekly meetings during aftercare I got to get more counsel on matters pertaining to loneliness and cravings that I battled with but as time went by I got to appreciate my alone time as I used it to get the ball rolling with my studies and also learning new skills. While in RiMa, during my alone time I had gotten in touch with my spiritual side, but nothing could have prepared me for the awakening that waited. "It works if you work it" isn’t just a sentence to me!  "Fear of economic insecurity will fade away" isn’t just a promise to me. The awakening made me feel and see for MYSELF what they meant!!! RiMa was my ladder to reach this realization!

Can you recommend someone to RiMa?

Without a doubt!!! The unconditional concern and care about me finding my solution to my existing problem was just…….. I’m speechless and just so grateful. I really wish everyone gets to get the gift of awareness and sobriety.
